Montreal, 27 February 2012 - Virage Simulation will be present at the Truckload Carriers Association 2012 Annual Convention with its VS600M truck driving simulator.
Virage Simulation Inc., a Canadian leader in car and truck driving simulator products, services and turnkey-training solutions, will present its VS600M truck driving simulator and demonstrate its innovative Fuel-Efficiency and Golden Steering™ Training Programs at the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) 2012 Annual Convention from March 4-6, 2012 in Orlando, Florida.
The TCA Annual Convention brings together carriers and industry suppliers from across North America for three days of informative general sessions and timely workshops focused on the issues that most concern truckload carriers. One of the TCA mandates is to develop solutions in the area of driver training.
Virage Simulation will be exhibiting its latest VS600M truck driving simulator technology at the TCA convention. The VS600M driving simulator is specifically designed for training centers, fleet driver training and driver evaluation and is one of the most advanced truck-driving simulators on the market.
During the demonstrations of the Fuel-Efficiency training program, visitors will have the opportunity to compete against the simulator and their colleagues. Research indicates a difference of up to 35% in fuel efficiency between the best and worst drivers in an average fleet. Research also indicates that driver fuel efficiency improves in the range of 5% to 20% following training. With rising fuel costs, the potential return on investment for a fleet-wide Fuel-Efficiency training program is definitely worth considering.
Virage Simulation will also be demonstrating the new Golden Steering™ training program, a set of driving simulator scenarios for learning and practicing left and right turn maneuvers. The Golden Steering™ is a performance-based training program that can be used for group teaching, 1:1 tutoring or self-paced practice. The Golden Steering™ program is the complement of the Golden Shifter™ and Golden Mirror™ training programs, scenarios for learning and practicing shifting a non-synchronized transmission and backing-up maneuvers.
