Virage Simulation wins the TSX Emerging Technology Award for innovative new products at the CATA Alliance Innovation Award Gala

Ottawa, May 19, 2011 - Virage Simulation wins the TSX Emerging Technology Award for innovative new products at the CATA Alliance Innovation Award Gala.

Virage Simulation Inc., a Canadian leader in car and truck simulator products, services and turnkey training solutions, wins the TSX Emerging Technology Award during the 26th CATA Alliance Innovation Award Gala.

The TSX Award for Emerging Technology is given in recognition of the recent launch of an innovative new product. Virage Simulation develops car simulators and truck simulators to support the driver training industry. In addition to being used by driving schools, training centers and fleets trainers, these simulators are used in universities and research centers to support studies on road safety, vehicle instrumentation and the validation of advanced car and truck technologies.

The Virage Simulation car simulator is also used for driver rehabilitation and can be customized to meet specific needs. The Glenrose Hospital in Edmonton recently purchased a one-of-a-kind car simulator fitted with hand controls and adapted for wheelchair access.
